Breaking a drought...

It rained today after many months of no rain, and before you shrug and think so what, think about what it takes to grow food and people and animals. No rain, no water, no life. Simple.

And so a lack of rain can be a major stressor for a lot of people.

People in this community texted and called each other, and went outside just to be a part of the beauty.

It got me thinking about other types of droughts and their endings, such as when you've not been kissed for a long time and then you are kissed, or you've been unemployed and then the perfect job comes along, or you've been fasting and then you have your first bite of food. All of your senses respond to the moment in a heightened way. It's glorious!

Have you experienced the breaking of a drought that you'd be willing to share here? (PG please!) How did you deal with the stress of the 'drought' and how did you celebrate its ending? Love to hear your thoughts!
